Jets Sign Radlovic
14 August 2007
The BiG Storage Cheshire Jets have completed the signing of David Radlovic - a 25 year old, 6'7", Bosnian/Canadian forward - fresh out of the University of Idaho.
"David is an athletic and versatile player who is equally happy finishing moves with a dunk or shooting the three", enthused Jets' Coach TJ Walker, "he is also young and hungry to make a successful career in pro-basketball - so we are very pleased to have obtained his signature"
Paul Smith, BiG Storage Cheshire Jets' Director of Basketball was enthusiastic about the latest capture. "TJ has a deep and detailed knowledge of the college basketball scene in the States, and is putting this to very good use on behalf of the Jets. We are all looking to construct a sound base within the community and part of this is to bring in young and upcoming players who can develop a loyalty to the club and the community programme, bringing continuity to the team and act as role models for local youngsters. David Radlovic fits well into this pattern and we look forward to welcoming him to Europe for the first time as part of the Jets organisation"
Radlovic, who was born in Bosnia, but was brought up and went to school in London, Ontario [Canada] joins TJ Walker [player-coach] and Jayson Obazuaye on the roster for the new season. Further signings are in the pipeline and will be announced as they are finalised.
The Jets open the 2007/08 season with a road trip to the Kularoos Plymouth Raiders on Friday 21st September. Their first home game of the season is Sunday 23rd September as they host perennial rivals the Sheffield Sharks.
