Community Coaches (Full time)
Last week interviews took place to appoint 9 new full time Community Coaches to work in our region.
With funding received from The England and Wales Cricket Board it is now possible to set in place these coaches and The Durham Cricket Board have now made the appointments of the coaches to work in the following areas:
- 1 “Chance to Shine” Coach based in Tyne and wear
- 1 Community Coach based in Tyne and Wear
- 1 “Chance to Shine” Coach based in Tees Valley
- 1 Community Coach Based in Tees Valley
- 1 “Chance to Shine” Coach based in Durham
- 1 Community Coach based in Durham
- 1 Disability Coach to Cover the whole County
- 1 Women & Girls Coach to cover the whole County
- 1 DCCC/DCB Coach based at Riverside, working with Professional and County age groups.
This new development is a very significant step forward in tackling the important role of coaching and cricket development in our region.
A start is to be made from March this year, showing the commitment of the game of cricket to enhance the best features of our national game.
