Durham Sign Exciting new "overseas professional"

Scott Styris, New Zealand International Cricketer - and one of the stars of the recent World Cup - signed last week for Durham. He played his first 50 over match on Friday 1st June in Durham's victory over Worcestershire and is available until late July.

Durham, after a wonderful start to the season, and without their 3 current Enland Test stars, made their second overseas player signing at exactly the right time.

A lesson to those many football sides who sign players when they are in trouble.

Durham have done this when they were second in the First Division Championship and top in the Northern Section of the Friends Provident Trophy (50 Overs) competition, and just before the Twenty/20 20 overs cup competition, a competition that has really captured the imagination of the punters.
