This was d-day; first against second. A win for Rangers makes it impossible for them to be caught, but a win for The Red Lichties (That is Arbroath, by the way!) takes them to the top with one game left.
Tension, or what!!
And tense it was. In front of a top crowd of over two thousand the home side did not let the crowd or themselves down. After 20 minutes of the game going from end to end it was Diack who opened the scoring amid ecstatic celebrations.
In a way, what happened thereafter does not really matter because there was no further scoring despite some scares at both ends and, after what seemed an eternity, the ref finally blew his whistle and the celebrations started for real!
Champions and promotion to the second division.
Well done lads for a great season and I am sure you will do us proud next season.
