So near and yet.....

Brechin City 2 Berwick Rangers 2

So this was the battle of the bottom two where three point for Rangers would bring them level with their opponents whereby a loss would see the gap between the two widening.

As it turned out the game ended in a draw with Rangers coming close to a victory with a very spirited performance.

They were twice in the lead through Little in the first half and then Davison in the second with King netting for the homesters in between. Had Rangers been able to hold on to the lead for just that little bit longer then a much needed victory could well have been on the cards but a penalty awarded in the 72nd minute, confidently stuck away by Callaghan, meant that a draw it had to be.

As we all know, home wins are essential and if Rangers can build on this battling performance thaen a home win next week against Queen's Park could be a real turning point.

Let's hope so!!
