Pools in Next Round of Carling Cup!

Scunthorpe 1 Hartlepool 2

Even though Pools beat Championship side Scunthorpe, manager Danny Wilson was still unhappy with the first half performance.

'At half time I thought we were lucky to still be in the game.'

The Pools boss was also unhappy with the referee. He felt Pools deserved a penalty for a foul on Ian Moore

'I certainly thought we were denied a penalty when Ian Moore went down but I didn't see the red card for Ali Gibb - he wants me to have a look at the video and make up my mind which I will do.'

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins was unhappy after being knocked out.

'I'm very disappointed,' he said. 'I'm absolutely seething. However, credit to Hartlepool because they denied us space, but I hate losing. We're out of the cup and we could have got a good side in the next round.'

Well done Pools. Onward and upward!!!
