Great Stuff!!

Blackburn 1 Middlesbrough 1

When you think of Blackburn you think of a real tough trip away, backs to the wall and all that. Well, not for Middlesbrough, who acquitted themselves admirably and must be amazed that they have not come away with three points.

Having been awarded a dubious free-kick 'Boro made the best of their good fortune with Downing sweeping in a lovely ball on to the head of Wheater who headed home to keep up his fine goal record.

Aliadiere was using his pace to good effect but was guilty of missing a couple of great opportunities and it was the same player who made a great run to tee up Tuncay with the proverbial "open goal" and he somehow proceeded to get his feet in a tangle to miss. I do not like to "have a go" at missed chances because I missed hundreds in my career....but this was a bad one!

To make matters even worse Blackburn sub Derbyshire got an undeserved equaliser slipping the ball home after good work by Roberts.

A victory in every way except not getting three points!!
