BOROUGH ALL AT (Chel)SEA!!

Chelsea 3 Middlesbrough 0

It was always going to be a difficult ask, playing against a team undefeated at home in an amazing 58 matches. And so it turned out, but could it have been oh so different if Mark Viduka headed home instead of wide in the first-half.

Normally the striker would have dispatched Downing's cross with ease, but today it was not to be. Right on the stroke of half-time the inevitable happened--Drogba scored. His low shot found the corner of the net past Schwarzer's unconvincing dive.

Chelsea got the vital second goal following the introduction of Robben, who, after a bit of a dip in form looks back to his best. Robben showed good pace and touch to work his way in from the right and his low shot-cum-cross was deflected past the helpless Schwarzer by the unfortunate Xavier.

Chelsea now took total command and the game was wrapped up by that man Drogba again with another free-kick; this time deflected off the head of Andrew Davies.

Chelsea march on and the ‘boro seem to stall, and yes, another powerful performance by Drogba who surely must be vying with Ronaldo for player of the season.
