On a Roll!!

Derby County 0 Middlesbrough 1
After last week's great home victory against the mighty Arsenal, it was imperative that the form continued against The Premier League's whipping boys, Derby County. And, indeed the same effort prevailed although the skill factor was still a bit low. But a victory in the end will be very gladly accepted.
Another three vital points and a bit more confidence throughout.
In a game that lacked in a lot of ways, the winning goal was sensational. Downing lost the ball and did not exactly break his neck to get back and, when Derby gave the ball away, it landed at the feet of the 'Boro winger now in some open space. He used his deft left foot to cross towards Tuncay who hit a sensational left foot volley on the run and it simply flashed past the helpless Bywater in the home goal.
Contender for goal of the month? No, contender for goal of the season!
We have seen clips of Tuncay showing great skill in training and Gareth Southgate has assured us that we will see it on a Saturday as well and, with three goals in three games, it looks like Mr. Southgate might have been right after all!
So six points in two games have moved 'Boro dramatically up the table but let's not get too carried away, there is a long way to go.
