Still Not Safe - AGAIN....

Sunderland 3 Middlesbrough 2

28 April 2008

Well, it all started well enough with Tuncay getting on the end of an Alves through ball and slotting home but, unfortunately the lead didn't last long with Higginbotham heading home an equaliser within two minutes.

This gave Sunderland the impetus to take the game to 'Boro but it was still nip and tuck until, right on half time, Chopra was allowed too much freedom and used it to the ultimate by smacking home a left foot shot.

'Boro showed plenty fight in the second half and were rewarded when Alves scrambled home an equaliser and that oh so vital point was beckoning but, to the delight of the home team and absolute dismay of the visitors, in the last minute Murphy got himself free in the area to head home the winner to ensure safety for Sunderland.

So 'Boro still look capable of survival unless the teams below strike a ridiculous vein of form at this late stage.

Let's just have a win next week at The Riverside and we can all relax!!
