The Search Goes On

Whilst The Stevens Report has cast a bit of a shadow over The Toon, we appear to be continuing our quest (note the pun?) for new players. As I have said before it is so much better for all concerned when players are signed sooner rather than later in the transfer window because it can be soul destroying to be scrambling around in the last few days or even hours trying to boost the squad.
Having got Viduka and Barton safely on board we are hoping that the next signing will be the highly rated defender at P.S.G., David Rozehnal. It does not take Einstein to work out that we need a bit of improvement at the back and this would be a bit of a coup. There is strong interest from Borussia Dortmund so wouldn't it be nice if he picked The Toon over a big club like Dortmund for footballing reasons?
So who will be next on the agenda?
