So it looks like Kieron Dyer is about to join his mates Bowyer and Bellamy at West Ham--can you imagine a training session there!?
And Alan Smith would appear to be on his way to St. James' for the same sort of fee. Got to be a good bit of business. What do you think?
I have met Alan a couple of times and, believe it or not, he is one of the quietest, shyest lads you could meet. Then he goes on to a football pitch and it is a complete reversal. (I am pleased to say!) One thing we will never tbe able to do is question his commitment. He wants to play.
A few years ago that would have been classed as a stupid thing to say but, in this day and age, I am not convinced that all the players in The Premiership really are too bothered about actually playing for their club! Astounding!
It also would appear that the Brazilian centre-back Cacapo could also be winging his way to The Toon. As an experienced 31 year-old who has been highly successful in his time at Lyon, he may be just what we need to get us organised at the back.
