Sitting in the sun outside a pub in Menorca watching The Toon on a big screen. That's the way to do it!!
And a victory as well, even if only just. But the good thing is that we actually played a bit and created a few decent chances. Michael Owen again showed just what a match-winner he can be and he was also very unlucky to be wrongly ruled off-side when he stuck the ball home earlier in the match.
Bloody linesmen!!
From a coaching point of view I would never have a go at anybody who missed a chance. The main thing is to get in there and be confident and it will happen, just like it did to young Michael!!
There is still room for improvement but we have at last broken our duck at St. James' after what seems like an eternity. Onwards and upwards? Let's hope so.
