Well, if you are going to do something, why not do it in style!? Okay, Luton are not much good, relegated already and all that but it is not easy to win away, far less win by five!!
With Birmingham in a tough away test at Preston there was still a chance to be champions so let's go for it!
The big signing from Arsenal, Stokes, sets the scene, followed by two from Murphy and one each from Wallace and Connolly. With nothing in reply by the way.
And Birmingham lose 1-0.
What a way to clinch the title and what a celebration from the fans. Not one point in the first four games and here we are celebrating not only promotion but The Championship into the bargain.
A magnificent performance from the players but we must mention Messrs. Quinn and Keane who have totally turned our fortunes around and I really believe that we can go about our business in The Premiership, not thinking merely of survival but looking towards the top half of the table and even Europe.
Well done one and all and let's go for it!!!!!!!
