Sunderland 0 Chelsea 1
Sunderland's biggest problem, not surprisingly, is their lack of goals. Again they put in a good performance against a top team but what few chances came their way did not end up in the back of the net.
Going a goal down early in the match to a Terry header, they could have crumbled but no, they fought back and gave as good as they got. In Kenwyne Jones they had the man of the match. He gave Terry and Alex a harrowing day but there is such a need for a "poacher" to finish off all his good work.
From Chelsea's perspective it is another three points from an average performance which keeps them hot on the heels of Arsenal and Man United in the chase for The Premier League title.
With teams around them picking up points Sunderland cannot help but look over their shoulder as we get into the final furlong.
