Keane looks at lower division players

I believe Roy Keane is looking long and hard at the possibility of buying David Nugent from Preston. He has had a couple of good seasons and Roy has seen him first hand. Also he has made it into the England reckoning even though playing in The Championship last season.

However, there is always a big risk in taking players from lower leagues, especially strikers, because it is a massive leap and strikers find their level.

I remember way back in my day there was a player called Derek Hailes who played in the then second division for Charlton and he scored "thousands" of goals.

Derby County paid a lot of money for him and he just could not do it at the top level.

So, do you think Nugent has what it takes?
