Sunderland trying!

As we approach the season proper, pre-season matches are well under way. So far Sunderland have kept it local, beating Darlo and Hull before losing 1-0 at Scunthorpe. Roy Keane was rightly upset, not necessarily about the result, but more the overall poor performance. I do not demean myself to watch "Big Brother" but my daughter tells me that this result was mentioned on the show!! How word gets around!

Pre-season results are not always too important but, even at this stage, it is nice to get into winning ways.

Through the Irish connection, two games have been arranged against Bohemians and Cork but the big one we are all anticipating is the visit of the mighty Juventus. Now that will give us a guide as to what to expect in The Premiership.
