Roy Keane must be the manager of the moment. He is more than capable of inspiring the troops. Keane's former Manchester United team-mate Kieran Richardson added to the situation could prove to be an astute if the England midfielder can fulfil his potential.
Keane is still in the transfer market with goalkeeper Craig Gordon top of the wish list.
However, Keane's inexperience as a top flight manager could be a problem for us, let’s hope it’s not. And we do need some new players urgently. The few signings and the 1-0 recent pre-season defeat to Scunthorpe, have hardly instilled confidence ahead of the new campaign.
With money to buy players we had high hopes for Premiership survival.
A few days to go and things are not looking so rosy.
