I should never be surprised at anything that happens at Newcastle but this is a strange one. Yes, Dennis Wise has done well at Leeds, taking them from minus 15 points to a play-off position. So maybe he is worth consideration in a coaching capacity and maybe he is the sort of character to liven the place up.
But a boardroom position as Executive Director (Football) ?????? I find it intriguing that the word "football" is added in brackets.....as against tennis or rugby?!?
Maybe Eric Morecambe will make a comeback!

Just occasionally somebody from "the South" goes up to Newcastle and/or Gateshead and does OK for himself. Equally, a few Scotsmen have done the same. However, they were usually well eqipped to take on the task!!!!! Enough said!
