F.A. Cup Magic.

Would I normally sit and watch a match between Bristol Rovers and Southampton on a Saturday afternoon? Not likely, especially with the horses on Channel 4!

However, because it is the F.A. Cup, that is exactly what I do. Not only that, but I really enjoy it, especially when the underdogs score with a late heavily deflected free-kick to make their way into the quarter finals. Won't it be great for them as they sit and wait for the draw on Monday.

Would I sit and watch Man. Utd play Arsenal on a Saturday tea-time? Yes! And I am glad I did. The performance of Man. Utd made me realise (again!) just what sub-standard football we have been subjected to in the north-east for quite some time now.

Now for Middlesbrough's trip to Sheffield United. Interesting, but, if 'Boro's latest form is anything to go by, then their fans could be the only ones sitting waiting for the draw on Monday and, with so many of the big boys out, then Wembley could become a distinct possibility.
