A relation of the wife who shall remain nameless but who, if she reads this, will know exactly who she is.
Come to think of it so will everybody else who knows us!
Anyway, she is not a lass of the slim variety. Quite the opposite actually. Two pounds heavier than a piano, truth be known! She is getting married and proudly announced to one and all that she has hired a marquee for the big day.
When you pride yourself on thinking you are a bit of a smart arse there are certain opportunities that just cannot be missed.
But when I asked her if it came complete with a veil, apparently I had said the wrong thing.
Some people have nae sense o' humour!
