Well, would you Adam and Eve it? Kevin returning to The Toon!
They say "You should never go back" but, in this case, it is well worth a try. As you may know, I have been plugging away in favour of Alan Shearer but you will never hear me complaining about this appointment.
I went to the Stoke game which was going to be a bit of a chore and then this happens. What a great night. We even played some good stuff! Keegan will even get the credit for this!
I feel it worked out well regarding team selection because, due to suspensions, we were forced to play a middle four of Milner, Emre, N'Zogbia and Duff with Viduka and Owen up front--an attacking line up for a change. Even after Emre was sent off--for a stupid, blatant tackle in retribution-- Nigel Pearson was brave enough and sensible enough to play a 4-3-2 system and we still outplayed Stoke. Credit where it is due. But, back to Super Kev, what an appointment and we now have something to look forward to.
Do you know what, even if it doesn't work, you cannot question what the club has achieved in getting him back.
