I am probably tempting fate here, but what is going on north of the border!? All of a sudden it has gone from Jock jokes to serious contenders. Not only at national level but at club level as well.
The sensational victory in France by the national side was augmented with two fantastic results in Europe by both Rangers and Celtic.
For Rangers to go to Lens and win 3-0 takes some beating but then Celtic go and beat the renowned A.C. Milan 2-1 at Parkhead.
All three teams still have much to do to qualify in their respective competitions but it is still nice to get a run for your money.
By the way did you see the keeper's reaction to a mere touch from the idiot who ran on to the pitch? He went down (eventually!) like a sack of spuds and caused himself even further embarrassment by going the whole hog and being stretchered off. He wasn't trying to get the game replayed at all, was he?!
