New dictionary word??
Every year several new words are added to the dictionary. I am sure we all have some that we feel should be there but after my trip to London to celebrate Ian Botham's knighthood I think I have a beauty.
Speaking to all sorts of people from sport and otherwise--in particular Sam Torrance--almost everyone in the group had been "beefed" and the number of times it was mentioned was quite incredible.
So I have been trying to come up with a suitable definition. How about :-
BEEFED -- Trying to drink with someone of much larger capacity than oneself and, for some obscure reason, endeavouring to drink the same choice, the same amount and at the same speed as the aforementioned person, culminating in slowly sliding down a wall into complete and utter oblivion to the sound of laughter from above!
Any better attempts will be gladly received!
