Jimmy & Belly's News

'Jimmy and Belly review the week that was direct from Geordiesport.com.'

Jimmy and Belly

Was It Really That Bad?

Jimmy says ‘When the smaller clubs are in the latter stages of the F.A. Cup they are always in a bit of a quandary. A big pay day and go out bravely against one of the big boys, a day to remember for players and fans alike or, just a minute, a decent draw and we could be in the semi's!!’

‘Ah live in a Semi Jimmy,’ says Belly, ‘so what dis Barnsley and them see in Semis? Ah thouwt all footy players now were multi millionaires so thee should live like our boy Shearer in a big palace. Anyroad ah divent see what thee are doing playing in a quandrry, ah thouwt thee mined stone there. Why play on stone when you can play on grass; sounds sackless to me!’

What a tosspot. Forget him. Let’s get on with real talk. Well Barnsley got the former, a home draw against Chelsea. Can they do another "Liverpool", probably not but what great memories for everybody connected with the club. Bristol Rovers got the latter, a home draw against West Brom. Bobbly pitch, bit of guts, you never know, but I have to fancy West Brom. Tony Mowbray has got them playing some great stuff and, deep down, they must fancy their chances of a trip to Wembley.

Hey Jim Bobbly West says he’s going to Wembley but he is no relation to Bobbly Pitch. He said he is going to see the ‘Toon there. Whae du they play in the next round?

Man U v Portsmouth will probably be classed as the draw of the round and, although Portsmouth may be no pushover, having watched Man U destroy Arsenal in the last round then they have to be odds-on.

And finally, Middlesbrough. Well they still have to put Sheffield United to bed, but, when they do, they will be fancying a trip to Wembley having been drawn at home to Cardiff City. What price 'Boro against West Brom in the semi's with old war-horse Mowbray making a return visit?

Hey Jimmy, am just getting finished with me winter Winter Exercise programme...

The only exercise you take is in the pub exercising your right arm drinking pints. Come on then what exercise have you been doing?

Well its called a regime thee say. My regime for the winter is to take one Weetabix.

Then take an Aero chocolate bar.

Crumble the Aero over the Weetabix.

Voila!

You just done your exercise for the day - AEROBIX

What a plonker! See what I have to put up with!
