Jimmy & Belly's News

'Jimmy and Belly review the week that was direct from Geordiesport.com.'

Jimmy and Belly

That was the 'weak' that was!

Jimmy says 'Everybody has been brainwashed into believing that the F.A. Cup is "The best Cup competition in the world".

'A Jock would say that man wudnt he. Why hy of cors tis!' says Belly!

Alright brain box, then why do teams play weakened sides?!

Cos they want tu keep their best players fer the league yu ninny!

OK, so it means nowt then! Tell you what, I was at Everton last Saturday and they left out a few good players and paid the price against an underdog team like Oldham. Cup chances gone! Sunderland did likewise and so did Wigan and it only worked out for one of these teams! On the other hand, I'll give you that Belly; Newcastle played a full side and still struggled!!

Ah but, the Toon wud struggle agenst Horden C W and even oor Sundae team with Snotty playin' senta forward the wae the Toon are playin at the moment!

I'll tell you what Belly, they all talk about these "rotation systems" nowadays as if it was something new. Well Belly I know you were part of the original rotation system at the Roversh, your Sunday League side, many moons ago - only difference then was that it was called being dropped!!

Yer tarkin thor Jimmy!!! Anyroad Big Sams gone th journey - that wus quick but yer did say last week that yer marra insiders sed he was wurkin fer the sack!!!!

Whether you have played the game or not it doesn't matter, football is all about opinion, and this is mine! I had a debate with a mate of mine on Saturday night about the possibility of sacking the manager and he was adamant that it was too early. Yes it is early but, if someone is not up to the job, then get shot! I accept that the next manager may be equally unsuccessful but it has to be tried.

We shud a got Ericson before Man City!!!

Shurrup Belly! Who will be the next manager? Well, if he wants it, then Alan Shearer has to be favourite. I hear all this rubbish about not being experienced, etc., etc. We have tried the experienced and, Bobby Robson apart, success has not been forthcoming. Alan Shearer has immediate respect, knows the game, knows his own mind and is a winner. He will be sensible enough to employ the right people behind the scenes and knows whose opinion he can respect when looking to bring in new players. Also, he knows quite categorically that we have to play proper football.

Howay man Jimbo what as Shearer got to show fer coachin'? He's got nowt man!!! Yer all just wurship the lad. But we divent want anutha failure and he's not been tried or tested!! Its too risky man. We shud a got that Swedish guy befor Man City!!! We av nae thowt fer the future only fer heroes! Furget heroes now just get the best - Murinho fer the toon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a plonker! See what I have to put up with - Jimmy
