New Kit Deal for Falcons

Newcastle Falcons has announced a major new three-year kit deal with Nike.

Nike will become the club’s exclusive kit suppliers with new home and away strips for the 2007/8 campaign, as well as a special charity shirt later in the season.

The new home and away kits will be unveiled next month, before going on sale on September 1 ahead of the new Guinness Premiership season.

In a unique arrangement with Nike, the Falcons club shop and online store, along with selected retail outlets, will be the only authorised suppliers of the new kits.

Falcons Commercial Director, Mick Hogan, said: “This is a very prestigious sponsorship for the club, and we are delighted to be working with a company of such a major international standing.

“The players are looking forward to the new range of kit and products which will be available to them, and our supporters will undoubtedly benefit from having the biggest sports manufacturer in the world involved with the club.”

Newcastle Falcons is the only club or provincial team in the UK to be with Nike, whose other rugby interests are the England and France national teams, as well as French giants Toulouse.

Jim Allaker, General Manager of Nike UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted that Newcastle Falcons will be joining teams such as England, France and Toulouse as one of our rugby partners. We’re proud to be working with such a famous and historic club and we look forward to a mutually successful relationship with them.”
