My old mate Bob Moncur--still the last player to lift a trophy for Newcastle, as if you didn't know!-went into hospital last week-end and had a tumor removed from his colon.
I went to visit him on Wednesday and knocked gingerly on the door of his room before going quietly in. What I saw I could not believe. He looked a million dollars. He had been up walking around and was hoping to get home the next day, which he did.
So the op went well and we all hope that he makes a full recovery.
He is actually going to the Toon v Everton game so I will be seeing him there.
